In contrast to the NASDAQ 100, the S&P 500 offers much more diversification with respect to market cap allocation across the sectors. The tech sector with the addition of Meta, Google, and Amazon comprises about 30% of the overall market capitalization. The financials, industrial, energy and healthcare sectors comprise roughly 30% of the overall market capitalization, with the remaining 40% distributed among the remaining six sectors.
